What you’ll need

  • Agile role cards (download below)
  • Index cards
  • Sticky-notes

Your characteristics

Timebox: 5 minutes.

Each person in the team:

  • Writes their name on an index card.
  • Lists their strongest characteristics on the reverse of the card.
  • Don’t discuss the characteristics (yet).

Scrum Roles

Timebox: 5 minutes

  • Lay out the Scrum roles (from the role cards download) on the table.
  • Sort Scrum’s tasks and responsibilities against each of the roles.
  • Check the roles and responsibilities against the Scrum Guide. Do they align?

Brainstorm characteristics

Timebox: 5 minutes.

  • Brainstorm all of the characteristics needed to do that role effectively, with all its tasks, in your organisation.
  • Write each characteristic on a separate sticky-note.
  • Once everyone has finished their brainstorming, place the sticky-notes against the roles.
  • Merge and relabel sticky notes that are similar.

Bingo

  • Take one of the roles.
  • Read out each of the characteristics.
  • When a person hears a characteristic that matches one they’ve written on their own card, tick it off.
  • Call out BINGO when all of your characteristics have been ticked off.

Discuss
