Most APS agencies do not have the assessment capacity the December AI deadline assumes
From 15 December 2026, every in-scope APS AI use case must pass a formal DTA Impact Assessment. The capability the policy assumes is thin, unevenly distributed, and not on any agency’s workforce plan. APRA and ASIC now expect the same.
